The 45-year-old actress and filmmaker’s face lit up when she was asked about the Dubliner, who she worked with on the upcoming Marvel movie The Eternals.
Angelina, who said she was thrilled that the 27-year-old Dunkirk star had described her as a ‘mother-like figure’ added: “I take it, I’m honoured.
“He’s wonderful, he’s really wonderful.
“Yeah, we worked together on Eternals and he’s so talented and he’s very unique.
“And you know he’s very unique so that’s a fun thing to see these days, when you meet somebody and you say [that].
“There’s a lot of people that can do good work but when strong, unique personalities come forward and they have their own something that you haven’t seen before it’s really exciting, it’s fun to see.
“So, I think highly of him.”
In Marvel Comics, The Eternals were created by the ancient alien Celestials and were seen as their designated defenders of Earth against their evil counterparts, the Deviants.
Other A-list Hollywood stars that will feature in the movie which is set to be released next year include Kit Harrington, RIchard Madden and Ma Dong-Seok.
Angelina, a mother of six, also revealed what the coronavirus lockdown experience had been like for her in the US.
She told Martin King on the Six O’Clock show on Virgin Media today: “No, nobody in my house has TikTok but we’ve been together doing a lot of other strange things.
“A few tried the bread-making.
“We’ve been doing a lot of puzzles, a lot of games and [watching] a lot of repeats of The Office.”
Angelina was on the show to promote her new movie ‘The One and Only Ivan’.
Earlier this summer, Jolie spoke out about the reason why she separated from Brad Pitt in 2016 and insisted she split from him for “the well-being” of their six children.
Angelina and Brad had met on the set of Mr. and Mrs. Smith, leading to the Hollywood actor to divorce Jennifer Aniston in 2005.
He eventually married Angelina in 2014 after being together for nine years but they split just two years after the sound of wedding bells died down.
Angelina said that her decision to leave Brad was done with their kids, Maddox, 18, Pax, 16, Zahara, 15, Shiloh, 14, and 11-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox, in mind.
