An amazingly detailed image of the moon captured by an astronomer is the talk of the internet

A photographer recently captured a clear and breathtaking image of the moon, revealing countless sunlit craters and ridges. Netizen Daria Kava Mirza shared the photo on Reddit on October 1 with the caption, “One of the sharpest pictures of the moon.”[s] I’ve shot it before with an 8 inch telescope.

The image showed the bright side of the moon in great detail. It also showed that the moon is not completely white and gray when viewed with the naked eye from Earth.

After it was shared, the photo received more than 62,000 upvotes and 1,000 comments. One user wrote: “Beautiful, very sharp and the colors are really fun. Great job.” Another said: “This is the best moon picture ever.”

A third commented: “I have never seen such a beautiful picture of the moon. Amazing,” added the fourth, “it’s a rippling moon. Great job!”

talk NewsletterThe astronomer said they took the photo with a Celestron NexStar 8SE mounted on a Canon EOS 1200D.

“I started by taking 360 processed images, then fused them into one image to reveal color and sharpen the surface,” said Daria Kava Mirza, “Note: “Please note that this is a cropped version of the original image. I mainly use Photoshop. To combine all my photos”.
