Digitization target of one crore small shops

Hyderabad (Andhra Jyoti Business): Amazon has decided to turn local stores into digital stores. The program is called ‘Smart Commerce’. The decision was made at Amazon’s ‘event’ annual conference. Amit Agarwal, senior vice president (India, Emerging Markets), Amazon, said the company aims to convert one million local stores to digital stores by 2025. He said 1.5 lakh local stores are already selling online using Agarwal said more and more stores will be able to offer their regular sales online through smart e-commerce.
