All Irish medals at the Paris 2024 Olympics

Daniel Whiffen in gold and bronze!

In the men's 800m freestyle Daniel Whiffen, a swimmer from Armagh, set a new Olympic record with a record time of 7:38.19 to take home a superb gold medal.

Daniel Whiffen won Ireland's first gold medal at the Paris Olympics.

Daniel Wiffen, who had already won gold in the 800m freestyle, finished third in the 1500m freestyle final and won the bronze medal. With a time of 14:39.63, he became the first Irishman to win two Olympic swimming medals.

Bronze medal for Mona McSharry

Mona McSharry won Ireland's first medal of the Games with bronze in the women's 100m breaststroke. Mona, originally from Sligo, clocked 1:05.59 to mark Irish swimming's historic return to the Olympic Games since 1996.

Bronze medal for Philip Doyle and Dare Lynch

Philip Doyle and Dare Lynch won bronze medals in the men's rowing double sculls. Their impressive performances against Romania and the Netherlands allowed Ireland to reach the rowing podium again.

Kelly Harrington is assured of a medal

Reigning Olympic boxing champion Kelly Harrington added a new medal to his tally in the 60kg category by qualifying for the finals of the event in Paris. Kelly will become the first Irish athlete to win medals at two consecutive Olympics.

Gold medals for Fintan McCarthy and Paul O'Donovan

Defending Olympic champions Fintan McCarthy and Paul O'Donovan once again won gold in rowing in the men's lightweight double sculls at the last Tokyo Olympics. In a time of 6:06.43 they narrowly beat the German team to add another gold medal to Ireland's tally.

By winning gold again today, Paul O'Donovan becomes the first Irishman to win a medal in three different Olympic Games!

Gold medal for Rhys McClenaghan

Rhys McClenaghan won the gymnastics gold medal on pommel horse with a score of 15.533. This is Ireland's first Olympic gymnastics medal.
