Recently, photos of the party were leaked. The opposition demanded Fernandes’ impeachment for attending a program that was banned at the time. However, with government leaders dominating the Argentine legislature, the case is unlikely to progress.

On Thursday, Fernandez heard an argument in the case and paid the fine. He proposed donating half of his four-month salary to the Malburn Institute of Research and Laboratories.

In addition to Fernandez, the first lady and five other people who attended the party were blamed.

The prosecutor in the case, Ramiro Gonzalez, confirmed that he had informed everyone attending the celebration that he was being investigated for a possible crime. Fernandes, a lawyer, claims there is no guilt in the case – he went to court without a representative.
