Her husband, Edward Whalen, told NBC that he heard a slight hum in the car as it all happened, and at that moment his oldest daughter jumped on his lap and screamed. “I jumped out of the truck and ran over to Michael and hugged her and let her know we were all fine,” he admitted. “We were really confused. We really had a headache,” he added.
