“We can not wait to continue to grow,” explains James Simmonds, the new Chief Investment Officer (CIO) for a & o Hostels. a & o gives its location. Europe – Expansion continues more rapidly. After all, the Berlin Budget Group has been able to open four new homes in the last two years, but now the handbrake has to be “released”. Symonds has been successful in international hotel development for over 20 years. After Ernest & Young and Deloitte in London, he also operated in the Middle East, Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Born in England, he was responsible for the development of Rosewood, a luxury hotel and resort company in the Asia-Pacific region.

As Head of Global Development, Simmonds is headquartered in London for Belmont. Commenting on the growth potential of a & o, the 42-year-old said: “a & o is a unique product, we are very flexible, we can buy and rent, so there are clear competitive advantages.” The new CIO and team want to focus on acquiring existing ones. Hotels and hostels that can “quickly turn into an a & o”.

Annabel Novak studied tourism management in Munich and worked as a hotel consultant for a Berlin consulting company. Most recently, he was born in Berlin, where he worked for four years in the NH and has been in charge of the expansion and director development and asset management of NH hotels in Central Europe, Great Britain and Ireland. As an associate realtor, Annabel Novak is responsible for the growth of a & o in the DACH region, France, Benelux, CEE and the Nordics.

After graduating from international hotel development in Glion (Switzerland), Leandro Rispoly began his career as an investment analyst at CBRE in Milan, where he was involved in various personal and portfolio hotel deals ranging from resorts to business hotels. Stations followed in Prague, London and Tulum (Mexico). As a real estate analyst, Leandro Rispoly explores potential locations across Europe.
