During the excavations carried out by the Israel Antiquities Authority in the village of Taibe in the Jezreel Valley, a dedication to Jesus, the son of Mary, was recently discovered. When re-used it was found on one of the walls of a beautiful building of the Byzantine or early Arab period, from which exposed two rooms with mosaic floors with geometric decorations. The inscription was discovered during an archeological excavation by Sachi Lang and Kojan Hako from the Israel Antiquities Authority before an internal road was built in the settlement. As part of the Antiquities Authority’s policy to bring the public closer to archeology, students from Honded and Hanaton Military Preparatory Schools, students from the “Democratic in the Valley” School, and volunteers and workers from the local community participated in the excavation.

He is an expert on ancient Greek inscriptions in the field of archeology at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Leah de Sagani said that the phrase “Christ born of Mary” was intended to protect its readers from evil and was common at the beginning of the writings and documents of the time. “Christ” – in Greek translation – “Messiah”, was the nickname of Jesus. “D-Sagani added that this inscription greets those who come to the gates of this place and blesses them with something indicating that it was erected in a church and not in a monastery.” The church blessed the believers at its gates. Animals refrain from doing so, ”she said.

Theodosius was one of the first bishops of Christianity to mention in writing the responsibility for the establishment of this structure. He served as the Regional Archbishop of the Beat Xian Metropolitan’s supreme religious authority, including Taipei in the Valley. Dr. of the Antiquities Authority. Walid Atrash said, “This is the first evidence of a Byzantine church in Taipei, which provides further evidence of Christian activity in the area. In the past, the remains of a church from the Crusades were unearthed at this site, and a monastery from the same animals was recently discovered under the Beat Xian Metropolitan area. “
