Belgium Barbarians return to the Irish Midlands

Published on

For the sixth time since 2017, Belgium Barbarians will take part in Midland Midnight 7 on July 27th in Tullamore, in the heart of the Irish Midlands.

Belgium Barbarians' new involvement in Midnight 7 can be explained by the good relationship established between the selection and the organizers in recent years. In their first appearance in Tullamore since 2017, the Belgium Barbarians have certainly achieved great results with a cup quarter-final (2023), a cup semi-final (2018), a cup final (2022) and above all a final victory in 2019. .

At that time, the team under the supervision of Neil Massinon and Jean-Maurice Decabbarin included Simon Marot, Arnaud van Baalberghe, Victor André, Thomas Brouillard, Léopold Rubert and Nicolas Nieto.

One player who plays in Belgium has been chosen this year, namely Louvainist Lucas Lamotte.

Midnight 7 also traditionally brings together Irish regional selection, Irish Division 1 and 2 clubs and university selections.
