Now it’s official: SV Sandhausen have loaned Kerim Kalhanoglu from FC Schalke 04 until the end of the season.

Kalhanoglu has known Kurfals since childhood. He started his career at SC Pfingstberg-Hochstätt. His path then led to Waldorf Mannheim via VfL Kurpfalz Mannheim-Neckarau and in 2016 to TSG Hoffenheim’s NLZ, where he played in the B and A Junior Bundesliga. In the 2020/21 season, he moved to Schalke 04 U19s, where he signed his first professional contract in September 2020.

Kerim Calhanoglu
Calhanoglu has scored two goals in 22 appearances for the German U-national teams. In 2019, he participated in the U17 European Championship in Ireland. He made three appearances in the Bundesliga this season and played eleven times for S04’s second team in the mighty Regionaliga West.
“I have decided to stay with SV Sandhausen. Even though I am a loan player, I will give everything for the club on the field. I want to learn a lot in the second division and become an experienced professional. I want to thank the good discussions with the responsible people at SV Sandhausen.
