International flights to the United States have been temporarily suspended due to a malfunction in the radar system

Published on

US media reported that all international flights to the US were temporarily disrupted and delayed due to a malfunction in the radar system used to cross the ocean.
Washington – Sputnik. “Pilot on JFK plane about to take off says ocean-going radar system malfunctioned,” NBC News producer Susan Kroll tweeted.
According to Kroll, quoting the pilot, international flights to the United States could not be operated, and accordingly it was decided to ground all flights for several hours and send passengers back to airports.
A representative of the Federal Aviation Administration told “Sputnik” that the malfunction did not affect federal (domestic) US flights.
