Story – The plane has not been refueled since June 6, and the passports of five Iranian crew members have been confiscated.
The Boeing 747 Box 747 from Entrasur, a Venezuelan Air Cargo Company subsidiary of Conviasa, arrived in Argentina on June 6 with a load of auto parts from Mexico City. The 19 employees include five Iranians. Argentine authorities, after examining the goods and the crew’s papers, find nothing to complain about. But the YPF and the Shell Company, the Argentine national hydrocarbon company, refused to refuel the plane, forcing the plane to cancel its departure from Buenos Aires. Explanation: Since January 2022, the company that owns the aircraft, Entrasur, has been under US sanctions. The aircraft was sold in January 2022 by Iranian airline Mahan Air under US Treasury approval.
