Ukraine will resume talks after receiving military aid from Western countries

The Ukrainian government announced on Saturday that it wants to strengthen its position in its territory with the help of weapons promised by Western nations before resuming peace talks with Russia.

“Our armed forces are ready to use new weapons, and then we can start new negotiations from a strong position,” said David Arakhamiya, a Ukrainian negotiator.

The statement came after Ukraine announced that it had repulsed Russian troops in the Severodonetsk region of the Donbass region, where the Moscow offensive is taking full control of the province.

“If in the past we had a difficult situation where 70% (of the city) was captured, now 20% of them have been pushed back,” said Luhansk Governor Sergei Guide.

Today, the Guardian newspaper quoted the brigade as saying that four foreign volunteers from the Ukrainian Defense Legion had lost their lives in the fighting.

They are a German, a Dutchman, an Australian, a Frenchman, and their identities have not been revealed. According to the Chief of Staff of the Ukrainian President Andrei Yermak, the country’s armed forces have completely destroyed the 35th Army of the Russian Federation in the Kharkiv region of Izium. “About 35th Army was destroyed in Issa,” he told Ukrinform.

In addition, hundreds of people are fleeing the eastern Ukrainian city of Slovenesk, and the number of those fleeing has almost doubled this week, said Vadim Liaq, head of the city’s military administration.

“Every day 70 to 100 people leave the city of Dinipro and 100 to 200 people move to other parts of Ukraine,” Liaq said. Room and board of local volunteers.
