NBA star Jacob Polt and college winner Luka Brajkovic appear on the interim squad for the Austrian national basketball team for the international matches against Ireland (June 30) and Cyprus (July 3) in Salzburg. However, the partnership between the two has not yet been confirmed.
At Center Polt from San Antonio Spurs, the association says “there are still some things to clarify about insurance”.
One is currently in close contact with the North American Professional League NBA and the World Association FIBA, explained Johannes Weissmann, General Secretary of Basketball Austria. “I’m sure we will have a solution soon.” Brajkovic’s future is open after dropping out of US College Davidson.
Vorarlberger signed up for the NBA Draft on June 23rd. Being selected there will also have an impact on the summer of his potential national team.
Polt has already publicly announced his intention to return to Austria this summer after four years under team boss Raul Corner. The pre-qualification of the European Championship will end with the match against Ireland and Cyprus.
Only the three group winners and the best runners-up advance to the next stage, which starts in August and is the end of the path to 20 2025. Two wins seemed inevitable for Austria, as the leaders were trailing behind in a direct battle with Switzerland.
Austria Provisional Team Squad for EM Pre-Qualification this Summer: Luka Brajkovic (last US college davidson), Errol Erzek (Tiger’s Tംഗbingen / GER2), Daniel Friedrich (Swans Gmunden), Benedict Guttell (Swans Gmunden), Thomas Klep (CB / GIR) (BC Vienna), Marvin Ogunzip (Bayern Munich / GER), Renato Poljack (Oberwart Gunners), Jacob Polt Jacob (San Antonio Spurs / NBA), Jose Rados (BC Vienna), Bojic Vujose (b.
