The Future of Europe: Citizens’ Issues with Ukraine Representatives | Existing

About 30 Ukrainians will attend a conference on the future of Europe in Strasbourg this weekend, including MPs from the Verkhovna Rada in Ukraine, representatives of the Promokrina Association, and refugees from across the country. Some of them will present their views under the Plenary Agenda item “EU in the World”.

European Citizens’ Forum on ‘EU in the World / Migration’ in Maastricht (Netherlands) in February 2022, 11-13. 40 Recommendations Worked. The Citizens’ Forum on ‘Strong Economy, Social Justice, Employment / Education, Culture, Youth, Sports / Digital Transformation’ will kick off on 25-27. In Dublin (Ireland) in February. 48 Recommendations Submitted. These recommendations will now be presented and discussed at the Plenary Session of the European Parliament in Strasbourg, along with ideas on the same topics that emerge from the National Citizens’ Forum organized by the Member States.

The plenary session of the conference will discuss the recommendations of the National and European Citizens’ Forums and the contributions collected by the multilingual online platform grouped by topic. Based on the consensus, the Plenary will submit its recommendations to the Executive Committee. The Executive Committee will prepare the report in collaboration with the Plenary and in a transparent manner. The The agenda of the Plenary Session can be seen here.

The forums selected 80 citizens (20 for each) to represent themselves at the plenary session of the conference. The last plenary session was held on January 21 and 22 in Strasbourg. Background

The four European Citizens’ Forums are run by citizens and are the cornerstones of the Future of Europe Conference. About 200 citizens of all ages and backgrounds from all member countries came together on the panels to discuss and make recommendations on the challenges facing Europe today and in the future – both directly and effectively. In their discussions, they take into account the contributions made by citizens across Europe on the multilingual online platform, gathering at events in member countries and supporting the lectures of scientists and experts.

Contributions of EU citizens to the conference on February 20 Multilingual online platform Will be included in the final report submitted on March 17th. However, citizens can still make donations through the platform to allow the debate to continue online. Papers submitted after February 20 may be considered in the final report on May 9.
