Disney + adds six Marvel series that were originally part of the Netflix subscription.

It offers several Marvel series in the US, Canada, Ireland, UK, New Zealand and Australia. The series previously ran on Netflix, but will no longer be available on February 28, 2022 due to streaming rights. They are now finding a new home on Disney +. In Germany and neighboring countries, the series should start in the year. However, a specific date has not yet been set.
Six series moving to Disney +
The Marvel series includes Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, The Punisher and The Defenders. The shows were released on Netflix between 2015 and 2019. However, the Marvel license has now expired on Netflix. Content rights are thus returned to Disney.
Movies for Marvel characters
As part of the Netflix license, Disney was not allowed to use the series’ characters in its movie universe. This regulation is now over. Spider-Man: Charlie Cox’s guest star as Daredevil at No Way Home and Vincent de Onofrio’s Disney + Series Hockey Return For Kingp. Disney + also takes the “Marvel Agents of Shield” series from the ABC Network.
