– Good news for fans in northern Italy: As bookings for the summer flight schedule go very well, Ryanair is increasing the number of flights. From March 29, 2022, it will be non-stop in the twin cities of Nuremberg.
The summer flight schedule at Nuremberg Airport has not yet begun and is already being expanded. Ryan Air, an Irish airline, originally planned two flights a week to Venice. Now that the booking is going well, a third connection is being added. The city of Lagoon can be reached from Nuremberg on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays without stopping.
Nicoletta de Rossi, a Venetian writer and native of Nuremberg since 2000, is delighted with her new direct relationship with her homeland and is ready for an inner tip: a walk through the Fontaine del Sattere in the Dorsoduro district. De Rossi has given more tips about the city of Lagoon in his travel guide “Venice – The Incomparable”.
Last December, Ryan Air announced that it would significantly expand its commitment to the Franconian metropolis and open a new base there. From the end of March, two planes will make a permanent stop at the airport and fly directly from there to a total of 27 destinations in Europe.
At least 13 connections are newly established. In addition to Venice, there are Sofia, Tallinn, Chania, Dublin, Cagliari, Faro, Madeira, Girona, Ibiza, Valencia, Liv and Bancha Luka. As of 2018, Ryanair is the largest airline at Nuremberg Airport. In all, more than a million seats need to be filled on the summer flight schedule.
