The statement said Putin had briefed the German prime minister on Russia’s proposals to legally link long-term security guarantees that would prevent further expansion of NATO east and the deployment of aggressive weapons in Russia’s neighboring territories.

In this regard, the Russian President said in a statement that he had “provided detailed explanations on the content of the two draft agreements between Russia and the United States on the security guarantee and on the agreement on measures to ensure the security of Russia and NATO member states,” which was handed over to Western partners, including Germany.

The statement added that the Russian side expects to hold serious talks on all issues raised by Moscow.

The statement added that “in response to the German Chancellor’s request, the file on resolving the internal Ukrainian crisis was considered in depth.” Carries out its obligations under the Minsk Agreements of 2015. “This precludes the possibility of holding a new summit in the Normandy format.”
