I immediately appreciated his vision of a world where life would be photographed ‘like that’,” says Francesca Lavasa. , Board member of the Lavazza Group. “His paradoxical and personal look, his sincere and immediate style, and his uncompromising but positive realism are closely linked to the collaborative idea that the Lavasa Group seeks to pursue with the world of tennis. They are intimate and unique stories, beautiful in their uniqueness, simplicity and sincerity.
The exhibition focuses on the attitudes of people who intend to observe and train the most diverse disciplines around the world, from horse racing on Irish beaches to tai chi on the streets of Shanghai. Participating in four Grand Slam tournaments since 2014, Parr’s films have been the focus of much attention in tennis. The 40 photographs included in this category, as well as the synographic set-up that can take visitors to the heart of the competition, fully capture the various aspects of Parr’s research and tell the dynamics of activating stands and playgrounds.
