Federation Council member Alexei Pushkov called on Turkey to take responsibility for the UAVs sold to Ukraine. He wrote about this in his post Telegram-Channel.
The Russian senator quoted Mevlut Cavusoglu, head of the Turkish Foreign Ministry, as saying that after the sale, the drones would become Ukrainian property, so Ankara would have no claims to their operations.
Prior to the deal, Pushkov stressed that the drones were Turkish property and that it was up to Turkey to decide who should sell the weapons.
“After all, it is clear why and against whom Ukraine is buying Turkish drones. The full clarity of the situation is clear to Ankara, and Turkey cannot be held responsible for any of the consequences of their use, ”the senator concluded.
Earlier in the day, Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksi Resnikov met with a delegation on a trip to the Donbass. StatedKiev will buy a batch of Beauregard shock drones from Ankara for the needs of the country’s armed forces.
