The Science and Technology Commission (CCT) will discuss a $ 600 million cut in the budget of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation. The collegium on Thursday (21) approved the request for a public hearing proposed by CCT President Senator Rodrigo Cunha (PSDB-AL). Event dates are still set.

A Bill from the National Congress (PLN 16/2021) Opened a supplementary credit of $ 690 million to the folder sent by the Executive Branch in August. The money will go to the National Atomic Energy Commission and the National Scientific and Technological Development Fund.

However, in October, Finance Minister Paulo Guedes proposed a change to PLN 16/2021. In a letter to the Mixed Budget Commission (CMO), Goods recommended that $ 600 million be transferred to other federal government portfolios.
