Air Lingus, Ryanair and EasyJet are all gearing up to see a healthy jump in passenger booking activity behind the recent positive news about the Kovid vaccine advances.

All three are careful with guidance, but the UK airline’s EasyJet CEO said their airline saw a 50 per cent increase compared to last week compared to last week. Against the backdrop of positive news about successful vaccines from Pfizer and Biotech.

Johan Lundgren said the momentum continues this week in the wake of similar good vaccine news from Modona.

However, despite the positive news about the vaccine, he said it was still only “early days” and could not predict when the trip would take place.

“There’s really no visibility beyond this quarter, because it’s all under travel restrictions,” EasyJet reported a loss of $ 1.27 billion ($ 1.4 billion) in its most recent fiscal year.

Er Lingus and Ryanair are equally cautious about growth guidance, but Ryanair boss Michael O’Leary said 75% -80% of pre-crisis passenger levels could return next summer. Positive Vaccine News.

Davey analyst Stephen Furlong said the good news about vaccines, the progress of testing and the removal of the ban would “lead to a significant increase in booking inquiries.”

A spokesman for Airling said that the positive developments in vaccines and the implementation of the European traffic light system for travel across Europe would “encourage more international travel in 2021”.

Meanwhile, Air Lingus owner IAG has reportedly been able to reduce the purchase price of Spanish airline Air Europe from $ 1 billion to $ 300 million.
