1921: Agreement between the UK and Ireland nears completion – 7/14/2021 – Database

In London, I am happy with the process of ensuring and completing peace between England and Ireland.

The idea is to give Ireland autonomy similar to what happens in other British domains.

The result of separate meetings between UK Prime Minister David Lloyd George and Irish leaders from both groups (one in favor of the country’s independence and the other in wanting to maintain unity with the British Crown) seems satisfactory.

Lloyd George is now waiting for a friendly agreement between the two groups.
