Hannover (ots) – More than 1 million guests visited this year’s Maschsee Lake Festival in the first 10 days. After a very sunny Wednesday, Friday was a little overcast. An hour-long downpour interrupted the first Saturday evening, but that didn’t deter Mashseefest fans. The second week of the Mashsi Lake Festival started with sunny and increasingly warm evenings.

Hans Nolte, Managing Director of Hannover Veranstaltungs GmbH, is happy about the many guests walking around the Maschsee during the holidays: “This is a good result for us. Many restaurants are celebrating their premiere in Hannover this year. All of them are resuming after a two-year break – so much positive feedback from home and abroad. Good.”

International cuisine in an area of ​​approximately 20,000m²

The diverse gastronomic country concept offers a large selection of international dishes. At Mashseefest, international snacks from Mexico, Germany and Syria on the north coast, Spain to the west, Scandinavia, Italy and Ireland on the east coast and South of Mashsee. National and international guests have until August 14 to embark on their personal culinary journey around the world. Morning pints, winegrower evenings or special menus offer a special offer.

Under the open sky

One of the highlights of the second half of the festival was definitely Jetlags’ appearance on the North Shore’s Machzefest stage on August 13, presented by Radio 21. On the large children’s meadow in front of the Heinz von Heyden Arena, Xiè-Xiè Leisure and Adventure Education invites you to great activities. A play and fun paradise with a craft tent, bouncy castle and more will be open there Wednesday, Friday through Sunday. From 2pm to 7pm the little ones can run around. Getting there and back: Tips for arriving and departing

HVG still strongly recommends arriving by public transport. ÜSTRA bus line 267 shuttles between the Kropke bus stop and the Lido, especially for the Maschseefest. The MOIA driving service offers additional stops around Maschsee, which can be viewed in the app. For those arriving by car, Schützenplatz is available as an additional parking space.
