The Irish Cultural Center celebrates its 20th anniversary with a sound and light show

For 20 years now, the Irish Cultural Center has been enlivening the Latin Quarter of the capital to the rhythm of exhibitions, concerts and wonderful encounters. To celebrate this anniversary with dignity, CCI is organizing a “Birthday Party” on Friday, September 16, 2022. At this evening’s event, which is accessible for free? Discovery of the exhibition “Oblivion Seachmalttacht – ᖃᐅᔨᒪᔭᐅᔪᓐᓃᖅᑐᑦ” by the artist Aidan Barry, Dáithí’s electro concert and sound and light projected on the facade of the Irish Cultural Centre.

In the program of CCI birthday party :

  • Exposition “Illusion of Oblivion – ᖃᐅᔨᒪᔭᐅᔪᓐᓃᖅᑐᑦ”
    Discover the contemporary artist’s new installation Aideen Barry. Originally from Cork, Ireland, she presented her work during CCI’s first year of operation. So at the beginning of the 2022 academic year Aydin Barry returns with his new film.Oblivion“Please note that a talk with the artist Aidin Barry (free admission and accessible in English) is scheduled at 6pm prior to the opening of the exhibition.
    On September 16, on the occasion of its “birthday party”, the Irish Cultural Center will also unveil a heritage exhibition inside its library “Conquer the unknown“, which explores scholarly travelogues.
  • Daithi’s concert
    At 8 p.m., there will be a concert by the artist and the producer Daiti. The leader of the Irish electro-pop scene, Daithy intends to unveil his fascinating universe to the public, oscillating between synth, drum machine and fiddle.
  • Sound and light show
    To end this annual evening in style, the Irish Cultural Center will offer a laser show at its forecourt (courtyard side) at 9 p.m. Specially designed Conan Wines from the Dublin conglomerate accessoryThis collage of light and electro music will be controlled in real time and illuminate the beautiful building of the Irish Cultural Centre.
