Accident in Ireland: Father falls off the road with Mitsubishi

This is a frightening sight: a family car crashes on the shores of Lough Foil Bay in County Donegal, Ireland. On Thursday evening, a 49-year-old father, his wife and children – six and 14 years old – swerved off a street and the car first hit the head of the water. The father and two children died and the mother was able to escape from the black SUV. In the video we show pictures from the stormy night of the accident.

Woman loses family in accident in northern Ireland

Geraldine Mullen, a mother from Moville, escaped unhurt after the tragic accident. A 45-year-old man arrived at the scene and warned rescuers. But it was too late: her husband John (49), son Thomas (14) and their youngest daughter Amelia (6) died. Geraldine was rushed to hospital, where her injuries were not life-threatening, but she was seriously injured, The Sun reports.

It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post. As the newspaper writes, the family had just returned from a day trip to Derry in Northern Ireland. The father lost control of a black Mitsubishi on a street. Irish police said the weather was very bad. “It was a wet and windy night,” a police official was quoted as saying.

Priest: “It is indescribable”

According to the BBC broadcaster, a priest cared for a woman who suffered a heart attack. “It was indescribable, she was totally shocked and disappointed,” says Father John Farren. The woman was devastated inside when she saw the dead children next to her husband. The priest says John worked at a garden center in Moville.

Post-mortem examination of the body should be done to ascertain the exact circumstances of the accident. Pastor Farren says the grieving mother thanked everyone who offered to help the family.
